How the volume was bound

Every sheet in this volume was sewn from the public capture record of stagesofimagination.org, kept by the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Two hundred and fifty-three archived addresses were counted for the domain.

The two bindings

The site lived in two bindings. The first, from 2000 to about 2008, was a hand-built site that opened on a Flash curtain and held static pages for about, assemblies, CDs, gallery, reservations, reviews, schedule, song clips, staff, Take-Time-to-Talk and video clips. The second, from about 2021 onward, was a rebuilt site with a page per play, an audio-adventures section and a staff page. The last captures show the domain carrying unrelated material; those sheets are described as they were found and retired from the record.

What was kept, what was retired

One hundred and seventy-two archived addresses were mapped to the sheet that now answers them: play names to their playbills, the CD shelf to the recordings cahier, the assembly and reservation pages to the company papers. Eighty-two addresses were retired: Thai-language spam pages, parked sitemaps, Wix technical files, stylesheet and script paths that never carried a reader anywhere.

A note on the plates

The plates in this volume are illustrations made for the binding: rehearsal props, stage curtains, CD shelves and school halls photographed in the spirit of the record. They are not the company's own production photographs, which the archive kept only in small thumbnails.
